Frequently asked questions

What type of reagents does Transmin design for?

Any reagent used in a process for the purposes of assisting a chemical reaction or control of pH can be prepared within a Transmin reagent system. For example lime, flocculent, coagulant, soda ash, manganese oxide and depressants can be used.

What is the range of dry storage capacity available for a Transmin reagent plant?

Systems are available catering for capacities of 5m³ up to 3000m³ in a single vessel. On occasions, larger capacities can be achieved by nesting the silos or tanks.

Are Transmin’s silos and tanks bolted or welded construction?

In the majority of cases tanks and silos are bolted construction supplied in sections for site installation. For large diameter vessels, they tend to be welded on site having been supplied in separate plate sections.
