Frequently asked questions
Why would an apron feeder be selected over conventional feeders?

For heavy duty run of mine (ROM) applications the apron feeder is the only choice due to its robust design. Occasionally certain applications may be handling a material having a high temperature, over 200C, in which case apron feeders are also a reliable choice.

Are spillage conveyors required?

In most cases due to the inherent design of apron pans, spillage conveyors are installed beneath apron feeders, these can be a simple belt or chain design.

Are the full range of after sales services available from Transmin?

Transmin is able to provide full on site or off-site service and maintenance capability. We encourage clients to take up a service contract with the purchase of the feeder.
