Used in flocculant systems, an electrically Heated Cone module is designed as a funnel to feed polymer granules to an eductor module. It is constructed from carbon steel sheet and has a double skin with sufficient cavity space for a heating coil and insulation.
The heating element is to prevent moisture, from humid conditions or condensation, forming on the walls of the cone and thus prevent a build-up of partially activated and sticky polymer. A woven wire stainless steel mesh is positioned in the top of the cone and under the screw conveyor to protect the eductor module from oversized material, such as; crusty polymer, foreign matter (e.g. leaves and twigs) and torn portions of polymer bags.
