Following the recent success of the lime installation at the Perth Desalination plant, Transmin has been awarded a contract to supply the lime systems for the new desalination plant being built in Queensland, on the Gold Coast.

Similar to the Perth plant, the system comprises 2 x 40t hydrated lime silos, along with dosing and weighing equipment and milk of lime tanks.

Scheduled for delivery in early 2008, the system will include the most modern technology in Australia for the storage, dosing and preparation of lime solutions, which will ensure optimum efficiency for the user.
